The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority reported on Monday receiving a report of an attempt by individuals to board a vessel in waters east of the Somali capital, Mogadishu. The authority stated in a statement, "The captain reported an attempt by four unauthorized persons to board his vessel." The authority also added, "All crew members are safe and are on their way to the next port of call." An investigation is underway. The UK Maritime Trade Operations Authority advised vessels to exercise caution when transiting the area.
