According to representatives of Puntland, American military operations targeted areas in the Gal-Har region, which is located in the northeastern part of the country. At the moment of the shelling, according to official sources, militants were present there. Local residents confirm the conduct of the attack and report possible damage in the vicinity.

In connection with the recent assaults by Al-Shabaab militants in the region, Puntland is actively collaborating with American forces in conducting counter-terrorism operations. According to the agency, such aerial strikes are becoming a routine practice in the fight against extremists in this part of Somalia.

In their statement, officials from Puntland emphasized that cooperation with the U.S. military helps to prevent the activities of terrorists and ensure the safety of the local population. It is reported that aerial strikes have become part of a broader anti-terrorist campaign aimed at eradicating the threats to safety in the territory of Somalia.
